By the year 2027, Lomma Municipality will offer a newly built municipal building centrally located in Lomma, just a stone's throw from the new train station, 7 minutes from Malmö C. Until the move into the new municipal building, operations are located in Alnarpsparken.

The Building Unit in Lomma is part of the Environmental and Building Department. As a building inspector, you will have great opportunities for personal and professional development. You will take significant responsibility for processing and development within your areas of work. We value early and preventive advice as well as good dialogue with builders to ensure a safe and secure living environment in the municipality. The Environmental and Building Department is looking for a Building Inspector for a permanent position.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a building inspector, you primarily handle the technical part of the building permit process and participate in the committee's supervision. You are responsible for technical consultations and site visits at construction sites, but other tasks within the operations may also be relevant. In your work, you collaborate closely with colleagues in the Building Unit but are independently responsible for your cases. You have a lot of contact with the public through advice and information on matters related to the area of operations. The work involves many contacts with builders, construction companies, and architects, as well as with the municipality's politicians and residents. As a building inspector in Lomma Municipality, you continuously work to streamline the processing process and always provide citizens with good service and a professional approach.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained building engineer or equivalent. We prefer that you have experience working with building inspections or other similar governmental work. Experience from practical house construction work is also an advantage.

You have good knowledge of building legislation, especially the Planning and Building Act with its regulations and ordinances. You enjoy working independently and in a team, have a good ability to plan and organize your work, and express yourself well in speech and writing. You are a good educator and have a pronounced sense of service.

A driver's license is a requirement as a building inspector often needs to make various types of site visits.
